Dr Tom Snow

Dr Tom Snow is appointed to Clinical Director, Imaging and Chair of the Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Council. Tom is well known in the Australian radiology industry. He is an Interventional Radiologist at QDI at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, since 2017. For most of the last 20 years Tom has been Head of Radiology - Gold Coast Health, and he has had a two year sabbatical as an Interventional Radiologist at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. His professional subspecialties are Interventional and Vascular Radiology.

Tom has served in several non-clinical leadership roles during his career:

  • Chair of the Queensland radiology training network
  • Chair of the Gold Coast senior staff association
  • Chair of the local branch of RANZCR
  • RANZCR Board Member from 2013 to 2018, and he Chaired several sub-committees.

Currently he serves on the Professional Services Review Tribunal of Medicare, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and the Vascular Clinical Committee of the Medicare Taskforce.

Tom studied in the UK (Oxford, Bristol) and in Canada at the University of Toronto. His research interests have been in Interventional Radiology and patient safety, and he has lectured on radiation biology, device technology and artificial intelligence, as presented at our 2017 National Conference in Melbourne.
