A record number of radiologists attended Innovative Imaging the theme of Healthcare Imaging Services fourth annual national conference at the new Sofitel Darling Harbour in Sydney. The annual conference was an opportunity for Radiologists to come together for a few days to focus on their professional development.

The line-up of speakers was highly rated and their lectures were well received. International key note speaker Associate Professor Nicholas Koontz from the Indiana University, School of Medicine, led the opening session. Dr Virginia Saxton, Director of Medical Imaging at The Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne, presented to the delegates.

On Saturday evening, Radiologists and their partners celebrated at the Great Gatsby Gala Dinner.

MC for the evening was Dr Rohan White, who rallied the audience to get behind our charity partner for the evening - Buy a Bale

The event exceeded our fundraising goal to raise enough money to buy one semi-trailer of hay for our farmers, who are in desperate need of support.

Through the sale of themed costumes for the evening and proceeds from the live auction, $10,000 was raised to purchase much needed hay for farmers in the central west.

Healthcare Imaging Services Regional Practices are seeing the affect the drought is having on their community and nominated Buy a Bale as the charity of choice for the national conference.
